Tourists, if interested, can also travel to places which are within 15 to 50 kms from Kovvali village. Transport can be arranged.
1. Atapaka Pelican Paradise (in Kolleru lake, known for the migratory birds during November-March). Every winter, thousands of Pelicans migrate to the coast of Andhra Pradesh from Siberia and other distant countries. The frozen climatic conditions in those countries compel them to migrate. During Oct-March every year, pelicans migrate to Kolleru lake in Atapaka to lay eggs, hatch and they return to their countries with their babies in March. Atapaka bird sanctuary is located near Kaikalur and is around 23 kilometers from Eluru. It borders the West Godavari and Krishna districts.
2. Popular pilgrim center, Dwaraka Tirumala (Chinna Tirupati), around 30 kilometers away from the Kovvali village.
3. Buddhist Archeological Site in Pedavegi village within 17 kms.
4. Guntupalli Buddhist caves in Jeelakarragudem in Kamvarapukota mandal in West Godavari district - 50kms from Kovvali village.
