Bala Grama Deep


Recognising the potential of children and to nurture them as change-agents, Grama Deep from the beginning has made children the important stakeholders in the village development and encouraged their participation.

Bala Grama Deep, the children's wing of Grama Deep is making efforts to inculcate patriotism and develop spirit for community work among the children. It brings the village children together, reinforces solidarity, enhance their awareness on various social issues and equip them with life-skills through various programs. They are trained in folk arts and in other cultural forms. Moreover, the Kovvali Zilla Parishad High School is an important partner of Grama Deep since it's launch and the school faculty and students play a role in designing and sustaining Grama Deep's projects.

Bala Grama Deep: Making Children the Change Agents

To teach children, skills, the values of life and to nurture them as responsible and good citizens, Grama Deep designs various programs. There is also a need to bridge the increasing gap among (These programs bring the) village children belonging to different communities, economic strata as they now study in several government and private institutions and Grama Deep endeavoring to help them connect with each other.

Grama Deep brings them together as one family to work for the development of village, enhance solidarity and love for the village. Sramadan for village is a favorite past time and proud moment for children. Rural adventure programs like nature walks stimulate children's appreciation for nature and value the environment all the more. In the present day world where children are confined to electronic gadgets, it gives them an opportunity to explore, socialise with their peer group and work together as a team for the village. Exposure visits helps them get first hand experience and learn through practical approaches. By organising motivational lectures and interactions with experts and celebrities, Grama Deep also endeavors to increase awareness on various social issues, organises sessions on career guidance & personality development, equip them with life skills, give direction and guide them for their future.

Students &Child Volunteers Collects and Seggregates Plastic for Recycling


In an attempt to make Kovvali village environment friendly, our enthusiastic child volunteers have been actively participating in picking the recyclable plastic waste like empty bottles, glasses and water packets from the streets and during various other occasions in the village. Children who collected the most have been rewarded with gifts and titles. Gramadeep made arrangements for the segregated waste to be sent for recycling.

  

   

    

   

Community Service is Fun for Bala Grama Deep's Green Army


Cleaning up the Parks in the village and watering the plants is fun for the Bala Grama Deep Child Volunteers' team. It helps them interact, socialise, develop team spirit and leave with a contentment of serving the community. Launch of "Naa Vuupiri" Plantation project for School Children


With an objective to teach the significance of trees and the grave need to protect environment while nurturing students with social responsibility, a program called, 'Naa Vuupiri ' was launched on 29th June 2019 at Z.P.High School, Kovvali. It was launched as a joint initiative of GramaDeep,
Member of Eluru Parliament Constituency, Shri Kotagiri Sridhar, Denduluru Assembly Constituency, Shri Abbayya Chowdary and six other assembly constituencies, Office of the West Godavari District Educational Officer; office of the Eluru Divisional Forest Officer (Social Forestry) and Kovvali Z. P. High School. 'Naa Vuupiri', the first breath from which the human is associated with nature, this program aims to make children understand the bond with nature from the time of birth. Making every child in the high schools of Eluru Parliamentary Constituency plant a tree on their birthday in the school premises, at home or in the village and adopt it, this collaborative program aims to plant at least 100,000 plants this academic year. Eluru MP, Mr.Sridhar not only showed enthusiasm to title the program as, Naa Vuupiri but also is funding the green registers to all the class teachers in schools to record the data and is also funding the program. This will be implemented in the assembly constituencies of Denduluru, Unguturu, Chintalapudi, Polavaram, Nuzvid, Kaikalur and Eluru.
