In most of the rural India, any village development program or decisions that influence the village are predominantly the arena of men. Woman's role is mostly confined to just casting vote in the elections. To encourage woman's participation in the decision making and development process of the village, Grama Deep initiated a special wing, Mahila Grama Deep. They are encouraged to participate in the development programs of the village. Programs are designed exclusively for women empowerment.
Exposure & Recreation Tours to increase Confidence & build Solidarity

Mahila Grama Deep also organises one day exposure and recreation tours to women to provide a break from monotony, socialise and build confidence levels. A group of 40 women visited the AP's newly built Secretariat, Legislative Assembly and actively participated in a round table conference with the Minister of Irrigation, Shri Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao who interacted on the work of Polavaram project of the government with the women.
